And Now We Know...
So now we know who NObama is actually running for....Joe Biden! Wow....how can the Dems put together a more liberal ticket than this? There can't be anyone in the Democrat hierarchy that seriously believes that NObama is ready and should be president. They pick a running mate who said NObama was not ready to lead!!!!! They couldn't be that stupid, could they? Evidently, the drive-by media has completely lobotomized their leadership into believing they can do know wrong, and now is the time to go completely over the top! National Enquirer....Maybe Bigfoot did marry a Martian
Hmmm, who'd a thunk it...the National Enquirer now has to be considered as a more valid news source than the driveby media sources that refused to investigate rumors of John Edwards' affair. Sure would have been nice if he had won in Iowa, instead of finishing second.....he might have become the nominee.....and now McCain wins in a Reagan-esque landslide....Happy days are here again, the stock market will be up again, happy days are here again....
Ah, well, at lease we still have Obama to kick around. I'm becoming more and more confident that between now and November, either enough people will realize that he's a shell running for others or his ultra-liberal associations with terrorists and communists will reveal something that will doom his campaign.

99 Days and Counting!!
It's double digit days until the election....and Obama has come out with his latest tax increase scheme.....increasing the social security payroll tax on incomes of greater than $250,000. Of course, no details have been announced other than they have no details!!!! Of course they don't have any details....they are campaigning by trial balloon, a liberal tactic dating back to Bill. "Let's see how much crap we get from this one, boys! If there's not too much hue and cry, we'll make it part of the landscape. Otherwise, we'll deny we ever considered it seriously."
I am constantly amazed that intelligent people don't see through these tactics and understand them for what they are......attempts to take away more and more freedoms and assign self reliance to the pages of history books.

Way To Go, Paddy!!
Got to admit I was pulling for Norman...well, OK, I was playing golf at the time....and really didn't give much thought to it during play...but way to go, Paddy!!! Not much question about who's the best in Europe now!
The Real Enemy Among Us
It's about time we recognize the enemies in our midst.....liberals!!! Yes, I didn't choose the word enemies lightly. I'm tired of hearing Rush, Sean, Mark Levin, and countless Republican talking heads preface their criticism of liberal ideas by saying "I'm not questioning their patriotism....." The time has come where WE MUST QUESTION THEIR PATRIOTISM!
Webster's defines patriotism as "love for or devotion to one's country". This isn't a complete definition in my book. Patriotism also means putting country BEFORE party...something completely antithetical to the strictures of the democrat party. You MUST toe the party line in ALL things or else.....ask Joe Lieberman about that!!
Patriotism means putting your country before OTHER countries. Obviously, the support of the Kyoto protocols and liberal propaganda about global warming are espousing the opposite. I know we all have to live on this earth and I'm lucky enough to live in the US, but when liberals tout laws, policy, and rulings that are against the interests of the US and it's citizens, they are NOT PATRIOTS!
Patriotism means that you stand on the side of your countrymen....and liberals WILL NOT DO THAT....because they have only one goal....POWER AND CONTROL OVER YOU! The Mortgage Crisis

So he bought a house in 2005 and now he's losing everything his parents worked for????? Missed a hearing on something this important???? Give me a break! He bought a house he can't afford on his income and now he's got a "boogeyman" to blame!!! This is simply another article aimed at giving the morons in Washington (house, senate, et tu) more ammunition to bail out....wait for it....NOT THE HOMEOWNERS BUT THE INVESTORS IN MORTGAGE BACKED SECURITIES! In 99+% of the stories you read today about the housing crisis, the foreclosure is due to one thing...the homeowner not living up to their responsibilities. And liberals love that...because they can point to it and say "See, you people can't take care of yourselves....government has to do it!". And their kool-aid drinkers guzzle it down!!

Healthcare and Big Oil ARE Related!!
We have oil reserves in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico that are equal to or larger than the Middle East, yet the libs will not allow those HORRIBLE oil companies to drill for it because they believe the environment and community might be negatively impacted in some way.

A new slogan for the dems!!
Recently in my city of residence, Bedford, TX, we went to our annual Arbor Daze festival. Honestly, it's not much any more but it's about all we have in that area. I was strolling through the tents and came upon a booth manned (can I say that???)/womaned/personed by supporters of the democrat party. They were raising funds selling bumperstickers, signs, etc with their slogan:
HAD ENOUGH? VOTE DEMOCRATIC!
As I was looking over the items, someone asked if I had any questions. "Yes. I think your slogan is wrong. It should read"
GOT ENOUGH? VOTE DEMOCRATIC!!
Both 2o-something blondes looked perplexed, the 40-something brunette laughed out loud, and the 30-something guy just looked at me and said "Ha Ha". Not bad...at least 2 of them got it!!!

Well, it looks like the radical wing of the democrat party has gotten their wish! They have succeeded in getting the most liberal and least qualified member of the Senate into a position where he is the likely nominee.
I have to say I have mixed emotions about this. As a RR, I think he is the most beatable of the two main contenders. He has no concrete answers for "what is wrong", only the mantra of change that resonates from his handlers. And make no mistake who is in charge. Obama's candidacy is simply a smokescreen hiding the real powers...powers who could not be elected themselves but understand that power is the most precious human commodity and they'll do anything to increase theirs.
However, the very fact that he offers no solutions makes him the teflon candidate in some sense. You can't criticize the substance of no substance! Unless the GOP presents concrete solutions to issues and consistently contrasts the lack of substance on those same issues, we are on the road to Jimmy Carter V2....and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what a debacle V1 was!!!!
As we get closer to the election, we'll find out more and more about how blatantly unqualified Obama is for the most important elected position on the earth! But the liberal media, who have long lost the cover of journalistic impartiality, will do everything possible to deflect the debate away from that issue. There is NO impartiality in journalism in the US. And that goes for all outlets. No matter who you listen to, you're getting spin for their own agendas. That's one main reason why nobody watches Katie Couric....or even cares!!!

Ted Kennedy has a brain tumor. That's terrible news for him and his family, obviously. However, it's the kind of news that the libs will do their best to capitalize on...and nobody capitalizes on others' misery like liberals! In this case, it will be with the complicity of the victim....usually not the case!

I'm back! Haven't been diligent at all about posting but that's about to change! The reason is it's election season and with only 168 days until the general election, it's time I get more involved in the process.
I am a conservative Reagan Republican. I will vote for McCain, although he has never been my first choice of GOP candidates, but he's infinitely better than Obama. In fact, I've got more ideas to fix what's broke than Obama. But my intention here is to separate the wheat from the chaf when it comes to presidential politics.
Oh, by the way, I see my old boss from American Airlines is now a blogger. She moved to St. Maarten and, now, after 3 years, seems to have been able to move into the 20th century at least with respect to technology...she got a phone!!! Hey, Lea Ann!
