With the election results, it is clear that the democrats believe they have a "mandate" to raise taxes. King Harry said as much! So the Bush Tax Cuts are pretty sure to expire in my opinion. If they don't, it will only be as camouflage for other, probably more costly, "revenue enhancements"
Any limitation on mortgage deductions will primarily hit the wealthy AND middle income with children. My wife and I have a house with a mortgage in Dallas/Ft. Worth, yet we don’t itemize deductions because the mortgage deduction doesn’t add up to enough with other deductions…we have no kids. So I honestly couldn’t care less if that deduction is eliminated.
Eliminate charitable contributions and you effectively eliminate charities! Look back at the financial difficulties many fought when the deduction for donated vehicles was changed.
The non-taxable status of employer health insurance contributions will go first. It is the biggest and the proof is that employers will soon be required to report this on your w-2. It is a HUGE tax increase (4 times the so-called Bush Tax Cuts annually) and if those cuts expiration will cause trouble, what do you think increasing it by a factor of 5 will do? Depression here we come!!

Education and the workplace
According to Hackcollege.com, there are 120+ with liberal arts degree programs pumping out 16,000+ grads a year in Texas alone. WHAT KIND OF JOB will they get?
The problem is that our 4 year institutions include degree programs and tracks that lead to nowhere! We need to change the makeup of our post secondary education system such that is produces workers ready for the workplace. Why would the entire University of Texas system need an Art History or Music degree program AT EVERY LOCATION?
Liberal arts should be a part of the jr college system or limited to very specific institutions who specialize there. This liberal arts curriculum that is required in most universities would be "farmed out" to a "feeder system". It would also lessen the burden of student loans on grads and non-grads, as only most people don't actually declare majors until their 4th term or later. If you can't hack it academically in the liberal arts tracks, probably organic chemistry and calculus are NOT going to be your cup of tea later on.
Sure those teaching in those areas would feel they are being relegated to "second class citizens", but honestly, do you think that a professor teaching advanced chemistry or grad level economic theory actually thinks that the guy teaching "Theory of Basketball" is on the same level? Post secondary is where the seimic changes have to occur to fit the new workplace.

This is NOT a political message, but rather a clarification to remind us all of the correct facts.
Remember that on October 9, 2007, 11 months before our “economic crisis” occurred (that was actually created), the Dow hit its highest point ever, closing at 14,164.53 and reaching 14,198.10 intra-day level 2 days later. Unemployment was steady at 4.7%. But things were already being put in place to create the havoc we’ve all been experiencing since then. And it all started on January 3, 2007.
The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, which was the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.
The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.
At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.
In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.
For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is" I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th ".

Romney, Obama, Summers and the CBO
Lawrence Summers, Clinton Treasury Secretary and architect of the Obama plan, recently wrote an article in the Washington Post titled "Romney's fiscal fantasy plan". In it, he criticized the GOP soon-to-be nominee for the fact that his economic plan can't be "scored" by the CBO. He says that tax cuts would only benefit the wealthy instead of having the effect of stimulating economic activity and job creation. Of course, this benefit to the wealthy is only because the people that liberals consider wealthy are those WHO ARE STILL PAYING TAXES! In other words, if you are paying taxes, they want more regardless! But I digress... In the article, he cites CBO publication 42972 (http://www.cbo.gov/publication/42972) as proof that the Obama "budget" would cut the deficits and lead to economic stability. He must have started in the middle or just doesn't comprehend well because the third paragraph states:
"The projected deficits under the President’s proposals would exceed those in CBO’s baseline—a benchmark showing the outcome if current laws generally remained unchanged—by 0.5 percent of GDP ($82 billion) in 2012, by 2.2 percent of GDP ($365 billion) in 2013, and by between 1.4 percent and 1.9 percent of GDP in each year from 2014 through 2022. In all, between 2013 and 2022, deficits would total $6.4 trillion (or 3.2 percent of total GDP projected for that period), $3.5 trillion more than the cumulative deficit in CBO’s baseline."
In other words, between now and 2022, the Obama "budget" will increase the federal deficit by $3.5 trillion more....ONLY BECAUSE OF THE THINGS IN THE BUDGET! Why do I find it incredible that liberals will lie even when citing sources that refute their arguments because they know their sheep/followers will believe what they say and are, for the most part, not willing..or able...to read it for themselves!

Free Birth Control and My Paycheck
Where did this "issue" devolve into the liberals' deciding that because I don't want to pay for your birth control pills, I'm somehow limiting your access to healthcare and violating your "reproductive rights"? I also don't want to pay for your lung cancer treatments because you choose to smoke. Why aren't you libs jumping all over those "tobacco rights"? I guess because there is no such thing....just like there is no such thing as reproductive rights.....unless it can be used to support your basic theme of economic equality and wealth redistribution.

Chris Matthews Needs To Go
Chris, Chris, Chris.....are those lights beginning to get to you? Southerners are out to lunch because they don't believe what a politician says? It takes the combined brain power of Debbie Wasserman Shultz, Nancy Pelosi, Bill Maher, Al Sharpton, and of course, Chris Matthews to meet with Media Matters to come up with the truth and spread it across the land to the unwashed masses. It's impossible for dumb country folk to arrive at logical conclusions through their own mental processes. Oh no...that can't happen. Well, considering the politician in question, 90% of what he says is either a distortion or out and out lie so a LOT of scepticism seems to be in order!
Oh, and of course your demented rant about Mormonism and Catholicism being cults couldn't be any more well thought out and spot on. Since a liberal said it, it can't possibly have any negative connotations or be considered offensive. We all know liberals carry that "get out of media jail free" card with them at all times.
Chris, I am on-line pretty much all day. I don't even know what channel MSNBC is my ATT Uverse at home. But I can tell you that few things cause me to feel a tingle up my leg like the thought of your dear leader and his cabal of "transformers" being shown the gate on 11/6/2012. What will you do when logic trumps emotion? I'm sure it will be as well thought out as most of your positions! Just hope you don't leave to big a mess to clean up!

The Liberal Assault
The Democrat party is leading the assault on our national and societal identities. Liberals attack conservatives in the name of political correctness yet give a pass to the same perceived, or real, missteps made by their allies because they are "just being who they are" and we all know liberals don't have a mean bone in their bodies!
When liberals like William Jefferson, who was caught with marked bills as bribe payment in his freezer, or Cynthia McKinney assaults a federal law enforcement officer, NOTHING IS DONE. When Charles Rangel or Timothy Geithner evade taxes, NOTHING IS DONE. When Bill Clinton lies to a Grand Jury, HE STAYS IN OFFICE. When Eric Holder instructs attorneys in the Justice Department to drop charges of voter intimidation against Black Panther members and to illegally withhold exculpatory evidence in a federal bribery and tax evasion trial of Ted Stevens NOTHING IS DONE.
The types of people who wait in the weeds for such absurd gotchas as Judge Cebull and his forwarded joke and then use it to push their agenda of economic equality and societal transformation are the enemies of our country. As real as the Soviet Union was...as real as radical islam, China, and Iran are today. They all want to "fundamentally transform" our society into something else. Into something that ensures that excellence is stiffled and only equality of outcome is celebrated. You don't want to fundamentally transform something you love...only something you hate.

Matthew Yglesias at Slate.com...Loon!
Recently I read about a tweet from some guy that writes for Slate named Matthew Yglesias. He wrote:

Sorry old boy, but apparently you don't get out much. Real inflation in the US is approaching 9% (disregard the tripe from the administration about inflation, employment, etc.) and we have a budget deficit as % of GDP is the 14th largest in the world according to the IMF. Nearly matching that of Ireland and actually higher that Portugal! Maybe our central bank should cut interest rates to spur growth.....oh, yeah, interest rates have been cut until they can't cut any more. Looks like the deficit hawks have looked at India and saw the US and THAT is why they are deficit hawks. Lib economic ideas sound great to the unwashed masses because they see something for nothing, but the people who actually understand how the economy works know that they don't.
Keynes thought that free markets worked ONLY after fiscal policy achieved full employment...in other words the govt has to have its thumb on the economy at all times. Most of his theories have been proven to be unworkable in the real world, but the people who can only see the inside of the ivy from their offices never see the real world in action.

Fundamental Tranformation
The Soviet Union wanted to "fundamentally transform" the US. China, Iran, and fundamentalist islam want to "fundamentally transform" the US. They want to tear down our economic system and our culture...the very things that have made it the most successful in the history of mankind. Do those 2 words sound familiar?

To Be A Democrat
If you want to be a GOOD Democrat, you must have certain basic beliefs:
1. You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of the Chinese and the Muslims.
4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.
5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by yuppies driving SUVs.
6. You have to be against capital punishment (putting murderers to death) but support abortion (killing innocent unborn babies) on demand (federally funded of course.)
7. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments and unions create prosperity.
8. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature but loony activists from Seattle do.
9. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
10. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution while the ACLU is good because it supports the destruction of certain parts of the Constitution.
11. You have to believe that taxes are too low but ATM fees are too high.
12. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger , the communist who created the PP abortion system for black babies, and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson or Thomas Edison.
13. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist but racial quotas/AA are not.
14. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because you ran out of other peoples money and the right people haven't been in charge.
15. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail but liars and sex offenders in the White House are OK.
16. You have to believe that homosexual parades should be constitutionally protected and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.
17. You have to believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the Chinese is somehow in the best interest of the U.S.
18. You have to believe that gasoline priced at $1.59 per gallon is too expensive but accept bottled spring water at $1.09 per quart as reasonable.
19. You have to believe the purpose of government is to take money from people who earned it and spend it on people who did not earn it.
20. You have to believe in Democracy but demand only liberal Democratic victories in elections.
21. You have to believe that people who disagree with you are stupid and backward while believing people who agree with you are "progressive" and "enlightened."
22. You have to believe that a "B" average economics major from Yale University with a MBA from Harvard Business School is too stupid to be President of the United States.
23. You have to believe that a "C" average history major from Harvard University, who then dropped out of Vanderbilt Law School and was a failure at Vanderbilt Divinity School, is brilliant and should be President of the United States.
24. You are proud to have Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Bill Clinton in the Democratic Party.
25. You agreed with France's position on the war in Iraq until combat victory was achieved within three weeks.
