Canceling student debt...Why can't this be seen for what is it? It is a bribe, plain and simple!

According to Forbes, the plan to canceling student debt is a bad idea.  Here's why.

Student Loans

Will your student loans get cancelled? Some members of Congress and President-Elect Joe Biden have proposed to cancel student loans. Among the many proposals for student loan forgiveness, the most recent has gained some traction: a plan to cancel up to $10,000 of student loans. According to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), there are several reasons to cancel student loans. For example, student loan forgiveness could help a generation of borrowers start their lives debt-free. The latest student loan debt statistics show that 45 million borrowers collectively owe more than $1.6 trillion in student loan debt. This can help student loan borrowers get married sooner, start a family, buy a home and save for retirement. Warren also says that cancelling student loans can reduce social and racial disparities.

As Congress, the president and policy experts debate the future of student loans, it’s important to understand both sides of the “cancel student loans” issue. What are the arguments against cancelling student loans?Here are 5 reasons not to cancel student loans:

1. Cancelling student loans for everyone excludes 200+ million people

There are approximately 250 million adults in the U.S. Of this total, only 45 million are student loan borrowers. While that number is significant, it’s less than 20% of the total adult population. Forgiving student loan debt certainly would benefit these individuals. However, more than 200 million adult Americans no longer have, or never had, student loan debt. Is it fair to cancel student loans for this sub-section of the population, while the majority of the population (who may face other, important financial challenges) do not receive commensurate financial support? Many federal taxpayers may not want to subsidize the cost of student loan debt cancellation, which could cost nearly $400 billion, while they receive no financial benefit.

2. Cancelling student loans invariably benefits wealthier Americans with graduate degrees

Who benefits from student loan forgiveness? Graduate school debt accounts for more than 40% of all outstanding student loan debt. This includes student loans for medical school, dental school, business school and law school. While each of those degrees can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in tuition, student loan borrowers who hold these degrees tend to earn significantly higher income. This is not to say that some borrowers with graduate degrees do not struggle with student loan repayment. Many do, and not all student loan borrowers with graduate degrees earn significant income. That said, cancelling student loans for all student loan borrowers would mean that high-income borrowers receive student loan forgiveness, even if they can afford their student loan payments. Therefore, student loan forgiveness would not be targeted optimally to student loan borrowers with low income, who didn’t attend college or who are unemployed, for example. The Heroes Act—the $3 trillion stimulus plan House Democrats passed earlier this year—included a provision to cancel $10,000 of student loans for borrowers who are “struggling economically.” If legislators proceed to cancel student loans, they may want to consider imposing an income limit or tying student loan forgiveness to unemployment or other financial struggles as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic or the economy, for example.

3. Stimulus checks and unemployment benefits may be better ways to stimulate the economy 

Some have argued that student loan forgiveness is smart policy to stimulate the economy. However, research shows that stimulus checks and unemployment benefits are better ways to stimulate the economy. For example, the Committee For A Responsible Federal Budget says that cancelling $1.6 trillion of student loan debt would produce only $90 billion in available cash to spend in 2021 and only $450 billion over the next 5 years. Why? The reason is that $10,000 of student loan forgiveness does not equate to giving every borrower $10,000 in cash. Rather, with student loan debt cancellation, borrowers save an amount of cash equal to their principal and interest payments, which could result in several hundred dollars in savings per month, on average, for example. If Congress wants to stimulate the economy, Congress would be better off giving stimulus checks to every American and encouraging them to spend.

4. Cancelling student loans is unfair to borrowers who paid off student loans

If there is student loan cancellation, it would benefit only borrowers who hold student loans on the day student loans would be cancelled. That means if you paid off student loans in full the day before, you would be out of luck. Many student loan borrowers paid off student loans by working multiple jobs, foregoing buying a home or delaying other important life decisions. Will these borrowers who also may have struggled receive any commensurate compensation? Congress could consider a reasonable look-back period to account for student loan borrowers who paid off student loans during a specific period prior to any potential student loan cancellation.

5. Cancelling student loans doesn’t address the high cost of education

Cancelling student loans could provide some immediate relief to current student loan borrowers. However, the day after student loans are cancelled, students will continue to borrow tens of thousands of dollars to fund their education. While a college or graduate degree generally leads to higher earnings, student loan debt cancellation doesn’t address the underlying issue: the cost of higher education. Congress may be more impactful by focusing on ways to make college and graduate school more affordable.

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), the chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), released an exhaustive list of some of the most radical aspects of the Democrats’ “socialist takeover bill.”

The RSC noted the bill would:

Perpetuates labor shortage: Continues welfare benefits without work requirements for able-bodied adults without dependents at a time where there are 10.1 million job openings—more openings than there are people looking for work.

Commissions a climate police: Democrats stuffed $8 billion into the bill to commission a cabal of federally funded climate police called the Civilian Climate Corps (CCC) who will conduct progressive activism on taxpayers’ dime (pages 8, 21, and 926).

Pushes Green New Deal in our public schools: Requires funding for school construction be used largely on enrollment diversity and Green New Deal agenda items (page 55).

Pushes Green New Deal in our universities: Democrats include a $10 billion “environmental justice” higher education slush fund to indoctrinate college students and advance Green New Deal policies (page 1,935).

Forces faith-based child care providers out: The bill blocks the ability of many faith-based providers from participating in the childcare system and will lead to many of their closures (page 280).

Hurts small and in-home daycares: Requires pre-K staff to have a college degree. (page 303)

Includes new incentives for illegal immigration: Illegal immigrants will be eligible to take advantage of Democrats’ new ‘free’ college entitlement (page 92) as well be eligible for additional student aid (page 147) and the enhanced child tax credit (page 1,946).

Includes legislative hull for Biden’s vaccine mandate: Increases OSHA penalties on businesses that fail to implement the mandate up to $700,000 per violation and includes $2.6 billion in funding for the Department of Labor to increase enforcement of these penalties (page 168).

Gives unions near-total control: The bill includes insane prohibitions that would bind employers’ hands in union disputes and dangerously tilt the balance of power, subjecting employers to penalties that exempt union bosses and officials… among other things this bill would prevent employers from permanently replacing striking workers (page 175). It coerces businesses to meet union boss demands by increasing Fair Labor Standards Act penalties by an astronomical 900% (page 168).

Makes unions bigger and more powerful: The bill would subsidize union dues that would only serve to strengthen the influence of union bosses and not American workers (page 2323).

Pushes Democrats’ wasteful and confusing school lunch agenda: $643 million for, among other things, “procuring…culturally appropriate foods” (page 333).

Furthers radical abortion agenda: Does not include the Hyde amendment and would mandate taxpayers pay for abortions (page 198) & (page 336).

Drives up costs on Americans’ utility bills: Issues a punitive methane tax (page 367) and includes a tax on natural gas up to $1,500 per ton that could cost the American economy up to $9.1 billion and cost 90,000 Americans their jobs (page 368).

Includes dangerous & deadly green energy mandate: Effectively forces Americans to get 40% of their energy from wind, solar and other unreliable forms of energy within 8 years (page 392). Reliance on these energy sources has proven deadly.

Includes kickbacks for the Left’s green energy special interest network: $5 billion for “environmental and climate justice block grants” (page 377) and another $100 billion in green energy special interest subsidies, loans and other carve outs.

Gives wealthy Americans tax credits: $222 billion in “green energy” tax credits will be given to those who can afford expensive electric vehicles and other “green” innovative products (page 1832).

Furthers Democrats’ social justice agenda: Includes “equity” initiatives throughout the bill and, in one instance, Democrats inserted “equity” language into a title which should have been focusing on the maintenance of the United States’ cyber security efforts (page 897).

Grants amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants: House Democrats have included in their reconciliation bill a plan to grant amnesty to around 8 million illegal immigrants at a cost of around $100 billion over ten years that would largely be spent on welfare and other entitlements (page 901). Trillions more would be spent long term on their Social Security and Medicare.

Opens border even wider: The bill would waive many grounds for immigration inadmissibility, including infection or lack of vaccination status during a Pandemic, failure to attend removal proceedings in previous immigration cases, and the previous renouncement of American citizenship. DHS may also waive previous convictions for human trafficking, narcotics violations, and illegal voting (page 903).

Increases visa limit: At least 226,000 family-preference visas would be administered each year (page 905).

Grants fast-tracked green cards for those seeking middle-class careers in America: Language included in the bill exempts certain aliens from the annual green card statutory limits and has been described as a “hidden pipeline for U.S. employers to flood more cheap foreign graduates into millions of middle-class careers needed by American graduates” (page 910).

Includes pork for Nancy Pelosi: $200 million is earmarked for the Presidio Trust in Speaker Pelosi’s congressional district (page 933).

Increases energy dependence on OPEC, Russia and China: The bill prohibits several mineral and energy withdrawals (page 979). It overturns provisions included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that authorized energy production in the Arctic that will result in 130,000 Americans losing their jobs and $440 billion in lost federal revenue (page 983) and the mineral withdrawals it prohibits would, ironically, include minerals necessary for renewable energy sources (pages 934, 940, 943).

Exacerbates the chip shortage: The bill would mandate the conversion of the entire federal vehicle fleet from internal combustion engines to electric engines at a time when there is a global microchip shortage and crippled supply chains (page 1,043).

Democrats’ feckless China bill is included: Concepts from the insanely weak Endless Frontier Act included, including $11 billion in research funding that will likely result in American intellectual property going to China (page 1079 – 1081).

Chases green energy pipe dreams: $264 million to the EPA to conduct research with left-wing environmental justice groups on how to transition away from fossil fuels (page 1063).

Fixes “racist” roads and bridges: Adds a nearly $4 billion slush fund that would help left-wing grassroots organizations that, among other things, want to tear down and rebuild or otherwise alter infrastructure deemed “racist” (page 1183).

Punishes red states for failing to adopt Green New Deal provisions: Mandates “consequences” for conservative states that don’t meet the radical Left’s “green” climate standards while at the same time adding nearly $4 billion for “Community Climate Incentive Grants” for cooperating states (page 1179).

Includes new massive, bankrupting entitlement: The new paid leave entitlement would mandate workers get 12 weeks of paid leave and would cost $500 billion over ten years according to the CBO (page 1245). It would apply to those making up to half a million dollars a year (page 1254).

Advances a totalitarian and paternalistic view of the federal government: Includes grants for organizations to treat individuals suffering from “loneliness” and “social isolation.”

Further detaches individuals from employment and more reliant on government handouts: The bill spends $835 billion on welfare through manipulating the tax code [not including the expansions of Obamacare subsidies] (page 1943).

Tax benefits for the top 1%: The bill will possibly lift the SALT deduction cap meaning many of the top 1% wealthiest Americans would pay less in taxes.

Tax credit for wealthy donors who give to woke universities: The bill creates a new tax credit program that gives tax credits worth 40% of cash contribution that are made to university research programs (page 2094).

Expands worst parts of Obamacare: Obamacare’s job-killing employer mandate will become more severe by adjusting the definition of “affordable coverage” to mean coverage that costs no more than 8.5 percent of income rather than current law’s 9.5 percent of income (page 2041).

Increases taxes on Americans at every income level: $2 trillion in tax hikes will fall on those making under $400,000 per year, contrary to what the White House says. Individuals at all income levels will be affected (Ways and Means GOP).

Lowers wages for working families: The corporate tax rate will increase by 5.5%, meaning American companies will face one of the highest tax burdens in the world. According to analysis, two-thirds of this tax hike will fall on lower- and middle-income taxpayers (page 2110).

Penalizes marriage: The bill would permanently double the EITC’s marriage penalty on childless worker benefits (page 2036).

Imposes crushing taxes on small business: Guts the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act small business deductions that reduced pass-through entity taxes to keep them comparable to taxes imposed on corporations (page 2235) as well as hammer small businesses that file as individual tax earners with the 39.6% rate (page 2221) and Obamacare’s 3.8% tax on net investment income.

Crushes family businesses and farms: The bill would impose a 25% capital gains rate (page 2226) and makes alterations to the Death Tax including cutting the Death Tax exemption in half (page 2240).

Violates Americans’ financial privacy: $80 billion slush fund to hire an 87,000-IRS-agent army to carry out the Biden administration’s plan to review every account above a $600 balance or with more than $600 of transactions in a year. (page 2283).

Increases out of pocket costs for those who rely on prescription drugs: The bill repeals the Trump-era Rebate Rule which passes through rebates directly to consumers at the point of sale (page 2465).

Imports policies from countries with socialized medicine: The bill includes healthcare policies imported from systems in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom—all countries that have government-run healthcare systems (page 2349).

The bill also has other lesser-known provisions, including:

$5 million per year for the Small Business Administration for an entrepreneurial program for formerly incarcerated individuals.

$2.5 billion for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to award competitive grants or contracts to local governments, community-based organizations, and other groups to support “intervention strategies” to reduce community violence.

“Each of these 42 bullets is enough to vote against the bill. Taken together—it’s mind-blowingly corrupt. We need to loudly oppose it,” Banks charged in the release.

He added, “Democrats are scattered. The Biden agenda is in question. It’s the perfect opportunity to build public sentiment against this bill. The American people need us to be the vanguard against the Left’s radical plans.”

“It’s not an understatement to say this bill, if passed, will fundamentally change our country forever—Americans will wake up in a few years and wonder what happened to their freedom. We can’t let that happen , “ Banks concluded.

As we saw on display during his “town-hall” meeting on CNN this Thursday, Joe Biden is completely incapable as a President, and as a human being. If Joe Biden were not President, he would need 24/7 in-home care. He is incapable of taking care of the necessities of his own day-to-day life, much less running a country of 330 million, with the largest economy and the most powerful army. So, if he is not running the country, who is? It clearly is not Kamala Harris. She has been shipped to political Siberia. She is rarely seen, and barely heard other than the grating echoes of her cackles. What we are witnessing on the big stage of American politics is “Weekend at Bernie’s” with a fluttering heartbeat. Joe Biden is making no decisions. He is doing nothing by himself. He is the stooge. This is not a defense of Biden for all the horrible decisions that “his” administration has made so far, but cognitively Biden is not capable of running this country. Someone behind the scenes is calling the shots

 

So, if is in not Joe Biden, who is running this country? Who decided to open the borders to millions of illegal immigrants? Who signed off on the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal? Who is bringing in tens of thousands of unvetted, non-ally Afghans into America? Who is printing so much money that we’re on the verge of “hyper-inflation”? Who shut down so many parts of our energy sector that we are no longer energy independent, and are back to relying on OPEC for energy? Who is pushing this divisive racial agenda which is tearing our country apart? Who is labelling concerned parents domestic terrorists? Who has weaponized the FBI against everyday citizens based on their political beliefs? Who?

 

The person orchestrating all of this owns a mansion in the shadows of the White House. He is a power-hungry narcissist who is only concerned with implementing the far-left’s agenda. His name is Barack Hussein Obama. He lives within walking distance of the White House, and the vast majority of Joe Biden’s staff were in his administration. Who do you think those people are listening to, someone who they think is the next coming of the messiah or a cognitively impaired elderly man who doesn’t know what day it is, and just wants to be left alone to have his ice cream cone?

 

America is not supposed to have a shadow government. Transparency of its leaders is a core principle. But Obama does not believe that principle should apply to him. In an interview reflecting on his time in the White House, Obama said his ideal set up as President would be, a “third-term… where I had a stand-in, a front man, or front woman, and they had an earpiece in, and I was just in my basement in my sweats, looking through the stuff, and I could, sort of, deliver the lines, and someone else was doing all the talking, and the ceremony. I’d be fine with that.” Not only is that is a brief glimpse of what is happening in real time, it exposed what an extreme narcissist he is, and how not only does he not understand the fundamental concept of our system of government, but he is hostile toward it. Obama’s vision of his ideal “third term” is him as an unaccountable king or a czar, someone who can’t be bothered to answer to the lowly people whose money he is spending, and whose lives he is controlling. He simply wants the people to shut up and comply to his dictates.

Obama recently told Virginia voters who are concerned about teaching their kids Critical Race Theory, and the dangers of the radical gender ideology which caused a 14-year-old girl to be raped in Loudoun County, Virginia; “We don’t have time to be wasting on these phony, trumped up culture wars, this fake outrage that right-wing media pedals… we should be doing more to support people who are educating our kids, and keeping our neighborhoods safe.” That is a perfect illustration of what Obama does. He pushes an agenda which harmed a young girl, and then blamed the people who objected to his agenda. He sets the building on fire, and then criticizes the fire fighters for flooding the building to put out the fire he started. Obama said nothing about keeping our neighborhoods and kids safe during the 5 months of riots in our communities in 2020, or when Democrat lawmakers were defunding the police. He didn’t care about educating our kids when he repealed school choice legislation as President.

 

Does anyone remember back in 2006 or even 2007, before Obama, when black and white people actually got along? The time before every white person was characterized as a “racist” for simply being born white, and every black person was labelled a victim, when people were people regardless of their skin color? What our country is transforming into is directly aligned with Obama’s Marxist vision for the world. Obama’s father was a Marxist politician in Kenya, and in his book, Dreams of My Father, President Obama wrote, “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout. I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors and the structural feminists.” This is a very revealing passage about the man. Not only is he acknowledging his Marxist’s leanings, but he admitted that he embraced those radical ideologies not on intellectual or rational grounds, but because he did not want to be viewed as a “sell-out”. His need to be accepted by other black people because of his father’s abandonment of him, steered him to his radical Marxist ideology, and is also the reason why he uses race and false accusations of racism into bullying people into compliance to the Marxist ideology because, as he admitted, that is what happened to him.

And in alignment with his Marxist beliefs, Obama, when he was running for President, promised to “fundamentally transform” America. For someone who chooses his words as carefully and artfully as Obama, this was not a misstatement or an overstatement. It was exactly what he did while President, and is continuing to do in the shadows - “fundamentally transform” America. That should scare the hell out of every American. He didn’t say “restore America’s values” or “return America to its founding principles”. No, he said, “fundamentally transform.” He was not arguing that America lost its way over the last 200 years, and must rediscover the ideals of its founding; life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, equality, individual rights, constrained government. No, “fundamentally transform” was a direct assault on the fundamental values of America which are in direct opposition to Marxist ideology, and why Obama has to “fundamentally transform” America.

What made Martin Luther King Jr so powerful, so effective, and so great for America is that he embraced the American founding principles, and used them as a mirror to show America where it had gone wrong. In many of his speeches, Dr. King repeated the words of our Constitution or Declaration of Independence back to his fellow Americans, to expose to America where we have failed to live up to our founding principles when it came to the black community. And he was absolutely right. He saw our founding principles as right and necessary for his cause of equal rights and freedom for black Americans. Dr. King believed the fact that we had failed to live up to those principles, meant it was the people, not the principles, who needed to change.

 

Obama believes the exact opposite. He believes because America has failed to live up to its founding principles, it is the principles, and the foundation of the country that must change. That is why these harmful policies that he has been orchestrating over the last 9 months are designed to tear America down to its studs, so he can “fundamentally transform” America, and rebuild it in his own image.

 

Not only is Obama the most un-American man in America, he may also be the most dangerous man on the planet. The record of history is very clear, and very consistent. An unaccountable narcissist who controls the levers of power of one of the most powerful countries on the planet, always ends up in major atrocities. And that is exactly what is going on behind the scenes at the White House.

Back in 2014, I worked freelance for a public relations firm in New York City. It was there that I met an unusual woman. I didn’t know many lawyers or Texans, but I knew better than to chalk up her qualities to either her profession or her home. It’s rare that I encounter someone who I’m afraid to argue with, because of her sheer brain power and towering personal rectitude. But this was such a person.

 

This woman had quite a career behind her. An evangelical Christian, she’d been a federal prosecutor — and quit, outraged at the corruption she saw among her colleagues. She did more than quit. Horrified by prosecutors hiding exculpatory evidence and targeting the innocent because of their personal politics, she became a defense attorney, to help people fight the feds.

She Gave Up Everything to Expose Abusive Prosecutors

But that wasn’t enough. At a huge financial sacrifice, she took time off from her practice to write a book. And self-publish it. And hire a public relations firm to get it out to people, when media ignored it. That book, Licensed to Lie, is absolutely chilling. It shows innocent Americans, even a U.S. Senator such as Ted Stevens of Alaska, unable to defend themselves against prosecutors with vendettas. It recounts how innocent companies, like accounting firm Arthur Anderson, can be broken by biased and dishonest federal prosecutors, and left in ruins. A real-life legal horror story, the book was too disturbing for me to read it through to the end.

And its author was Sidney Powell, whom I used to go to lunch with in midtown Manhattan. In retrospect, I feel privileged. I knew she was a powerhouse, but I little suspected what an historic role she would someday play. When I saw that she was representing General Mike Flynn, I knew one thing for sure — that he was innocent.

Sidney’s not one of those lawyers who works for people she thinks are guilty as sin. She wouldn’t have gone on Fox News, and One America, and Newsmax, night after night and coolly laid out his defense in a tone of righteous outrage if this were just some client. Because the abuse of power and perversion of law Sidney witnessed made her more than just some lawyer. It made her a crusader. It made her … Joan of Arc.

The Theft of Our Election

So watching the press conference with Jenna Ellis, Rudolph Giuliani, and Sidney Powell was different for me than for most. I don’t know Ms. Ellis or Mayor Giuliani, though I don’t suspect that they’re cynical, partisan hacks, as Ross Douthat suggests. Keep in mind that a week before the 2016 election, Douthat tried to suppress the pro-life vote for Trump by comparing voting for Trump to shooting abortionists on the street. That’s one way to keep a job at The New York Times, I suppose.

The Evidence Is Coming, to Federal Courts Near You

I don’t have any evidence that Democrats used software invented in Venezuela to help socialist dictator Hugo Chavez steal elections. Or that the Soros-linked company Dominion was used by Democrats across multiple states to steal votes from Donald Trump to give to Joe Biden in the middle of the night, in just the strategic states where Trump was leading.

I don’t have that evidence, but the fact that Sidney Powell claims she does is enough to convince me. This is a woman who gave up years of income she could have earned in her profitable practice to write, print, and promote a book no publisher would touch. Its charges were too explosive, I imagine.

Its targets, like Andrew Weissman (the protege of FBI director Christopher Wray) wield too much power. Tellingly, none of the people Powell exposed in Licensed to Lie have dared to sue her for defamation or libel. She put herself out there as a target for such a suit by writing the book—with no publishing house’s attorneys on board to defend her. But no one did, I’m sure because her charges were absolutely truthful.

Risking Bankruptcy, Disbarment, and Worse

Non-partisan legal expert Jonathan Turley is one of the few reliable commentators left out there. He observed after watching the press conference that Powell and the rest of the president’s team took a similar risk today. They accused a massive corporation, Dominion, with links to friendly billionaires like Soros and many foreign governments, of felonies. Of colluding with corrupt election officials to steal the White House.

 

If these charges are false, their careers are finished. If defamation lawsuits get launched — and I don’t see how Dominion has any choice but to file them, or go bankrupt — Sidney Powell could lose her house and her license to practice law. She’d be a pauper. The same is true of Ellis, Giuliani, and anyone else on the president’s team. But only if the charges are unsupported and untrue.

Given the death threats to election officials in Michigan, and the doxing of their children, for refusing to certify a corrupt election, I’d say Ms. Powell is risking a lot more than money.

What Trump’s Team Faces

Ranged against her is a vast media machine determined to suppress the truth. Billion-dollar networks that trumpeted the Russia collusion hoax and Brett Kavanaugh’s “teenage rape gang,” then pretended that Nick Sandmann was some kind of neo-Nazi. The same networks squelched the solid evidence from the Hunter Biden laptop, abetted by social media monopolies that silence ordinary Americans.

And of course, she has a whole team of Democrats ready to start a “transition” to an office it seems Joe Biden stole. If they succeed, what do they have in store for her, using the power of the White House?

Let’s remember that Kamala Harris’ old office is still trying to imprison David Daleiden, for exposing her old campaign donor, Planned Parenthood, on charges she corruptly launched.

I also know what the Democrats have in mind for this country, and for President Trump’s loyal supporters: re-education, on the model of conquered Nazi Germany:

But there Sidney stood fearlessly on television, her voice quavering a little at the enormity of the evil she has helped to uncover. Meanwhile the Vichy-conservatives over at National Review and other “squish” venues sniped at her, and at Rudolph Giuliani, who faced down the hitmen of the New York Mafia, then broke its back. One called the Trump team “unhinged,” and sniffed at its lack of “dignity.”

Fox News reporter Kristin Fisher called Mr. Giuliani a “liar.”

Sniffy Vichy Conservatives

If you think your country’s elections are being stolen, and your main concern is for keeping your “dignity,” then I don’t want you next to me in a foxhole. You’ll switch sides if the enemy offers a chocolate bar, and a chance to save your skin.

I want someone like Sidney Powell, a whistleblower and a Christian patriot. I hope her evidence is watertight and bullet proof—and frankly, that for the next few weeks she has taken to wearing Kevlar. That’s how much I trust the people who want to silence her.
